  “Say: He is Allah, the One.” (Quran 112:1)

• 2. Allah Is Independent
  Allah says:
  “Allah, the Eternal Refuge.” (Quran 112:2)
  Everything in creation depends on Allah, while Allah does not depend on anyone or anything. He is completely self-sufficient.
• 3. Allah Has No Children or Parents
  The Quran says:
  “He neither begets nor is born.” (Quran 112:3)
  Allah is not like His creation. He does not have parents, children, or a family. His existence is completely different from that of human beings and all other created things.
• 4. Nothing Is Like Allah
  The final verse gives us a powerful conclusion:
  “And there is nothing comparable to Him.” (Quran 112:4)
  We can learn about Allah through His beautiful names and attributes, but nothing in creation is equal or similar to Him.
  

Why Is Surah Al-Ikhlas Important?

Although Surah Al-Ikhlas contains only four verses, it carries a profound message about Tawheed, the oneness of Allah.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ also taught his companions about its great virtue. An authentic hadith describes Surah Al-Ikhlas as equivalent to one-third of the Quran.
This does not mean that reading the surah three times replaces reading the entire Quran. Rather, its meaning represents a central part of the Quran: knowing Allah, affirming His oneness, and recognizing His perfect attributes.

Muslims recite Surah Al-Ikhlas at different times throughout the day. It is commonly recited:

• Together with Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas.
