Prophet Muhammad (SAW) received his first revelation during Ramadan, on the sacred Laylat al-Qadr (Night of Decree). His age was 40 years old when he received the first revelation from the angel Gabriel in the Cave of Hira, a cave on the mountain called Jabal al-Nour (the Mountain of Light) near Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
